Turbo Corrado

Corrado Turbo kits. The Corrado is by far one of the coolest VW's ever. The G60 was nice, the SLC / VR6 even nicer. The Volkswagen Corrado can be transformed into an entirely new experience with the addition of a turbocharger. A turbo Corrado can reach a HP rating of 225HP and UP! A turbo Corrado will usually start around 225HP, additional tungin and upgrades to the turbo kit can get you up and over 325HP. A complete custom Corrado turbo system can get you over 400HP an higher, depending on how deep your pockets are. This extreme of a build up may not be reliable or streetable though.

There are tons of Turbo Corrado's driving around every day. There are literaly thousands of Turbo VR6 cars driving around everyday also. The parts are generaly easy to get, with several complete kits available from different manufacturers.

If you are thinking about going turbo, consider the overall health of your Corrado. If your burning excessive amounts of oil, loosing coolant, of have a tick that won't quit, better have your engine rebuilt before the turbo goes on. Adding a turbo to a Corrado or any other car adds some extra stresses to the engine. A healthy engine can easily handle it, but a worn out one will die sooner.

Even the supercharged Corrado G60 can be converted into a turbo powered engine for higher performance and better reliability over the stock, expensive G60 supercharger.

You will never want to drive a stock Corrado again after driving a turbo Corrado.
